Mehta Marbles

You can find us on the road between Makrana and Borawer, right near Balaji Colony. This area is famous for marble, so there are shops everywhere you look, but we’ve got our own little corner here. It’s a loud place with all the cutting machines running constantly nearby. We’ve been working with marble for years, and it’s basically all we talk about. The shop isn't anything fancy. It’s mostly just a big open space where we keep the slabs so people can see the patterns and colors in the natural light. We get all sorts of people coming in, from big builders to a guy just needing a small piece for a bathroom repair. We don't bother with fancy sales pitches or anything like that. We just show what’s available on the floor today. Sometimes the inventory changes fast, and other times we sit on the same stock for weeks. It all depends on what the quarries are sending out to us. We keep things pretty simple here. We have a couple of workers who help with the loading, and they’ve been with us a long time now. It’s a bit of a dusty life, but it’s what pays the bills and keeps the family going. We usually start early before the sun gets too high because the heat on the road can be a lot. If you’re driving toward Borawer, you’ll see our stacks of stone near the colony entrance. We're usually there unless we're out helping with a delivery.
