Mehta Marble Emporium

Our place, Mehta Marble Emporium, is tucked away right near the railway station. It’s a bit of a different spot compared to the big industrial areas, but it works fine for us. You can hear the trains coming and going all day long. My father started this business, and I’ve been helping him since I was a young man. We call it an emporium, but it’s really just a solid warehouse and a yard where we keep our marble stock. We don't have those bright lights or fancy offices. It's just us and the stone. Being near the station means there are always people moving around nearby. We get a lot of locals who walk over to see what we have. We try to keep a variety of marble types so there is something for different budgets. Sometimes the dust from the yard gets on everything, but that's just part of the marble business. We don't spend money on big ads or billboards. We just talk to people when they come in. If we don't have what you want, we usually know someone else who does. It’s a small community here in this part of town. We take pride in just being a steady part of the neighborhood. The stone we sell is heavy and takes effort to move, but we’ve got the right tools for it. Stop by if you’re near the tracks; we are usually open pretty early every day.
