About J.K. Tanwar Marble – Building & Construction Material in Makrana
Being over at Plot No. F 117 in the Riico industrial area means we are surrounded by noise and machines most of the day. It is the kind of place where you have to shout a bit just to be heard over the sound of saws or trucks idling nearby. We deal mostly in marble, and our yard is usually full of slabs leaning against the metal frames. It’s a lot of grey and white out there. We start early, usually before the heat gets too bad, because moving stone in the middle of the afternoon is exhausting. The ground is always covered in that fine white powder that comes from the cutting and polishing. We don’t really do any big advertising; we just stay here and work. Most of the people who come by are builders or people who are putting a new floor in their house. They walk around and touch the stone, trying to figure out what they like. We just let them look and answer questions when they have them. It’s a simple way of doing things. Sometimes we get a big order that keeps us busy for a week straight, and other times we are just tidying up the stacks. There is always something to do, like checking the water for the cutters or fixing a pallet. It is honest work and it keeps us on our feet all day long. We don't mind the hard work as long as things keep moving.
