We've been here in Jakhli for a while now. Most people know us because we're right near the NH, making it easy to find. Working with stone is just what we do every day. It's dusty work but someone has to do it. We handle a lot of the local marble that comes out of the Makrana area. People come by the yard to see what we have stacked up. Sometimes it's busy, sometimes it's quiet. If you head towards the post office in the village, you'll see us. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a lot of stone and some machines. We cut things down to size when needed. It's a family thing mostly. We've seen the village change over the years. The weather gets really hot in the summer, which makes the work harder, but the marble stays cool. Usually, we're just around helping folks pick out what they need for their floors or houses. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly we are out back. If you need to find us, just look for the piles of white and grey stone near the highway. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, we move stone, and we go home. Not much more to it than that. We just try to keep things moving along and make sure the pieces look decent before they head out on a truck.
