Ganpati Marble & Granites

We’ve got Ganpati Marble & Granites set up in the Riico Industrial Area in Bidiyad. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the shifts change and the new trucks arrive. We deal with both marble and granite, so the yard is always a mix of different colors and textures. I usually spend my time organizing the stacks because things tend to get cluttered when new loads come in. The granite is much tougher to cut than the marble, so you can always tell which machine is running just by the sound it makes in the background. Bidiyad is a tough place to work because of the heat, but we stay under the tin roof when we can. I’ve got a few guys who have been with me for years, and we just get on with the work without saying much. We don't have any flashy signs out front. People know we are here because of the piles of stone visible from the main path. Sometimes a customer wants a specific pattern, and we have to dig through the back of the yard to find it. It's a lot of sweat and heavy lifting. We keep a pot of tea going in the small office for when people stop by to settle their bills. It’s a basic operation, nothing more, nothing less. We just focus on getting the slabs loaded onto the trucks without any chips. It takes a lot of daily focus to keep it running.
