Desh Bandhu Marbles

You can find us right on Borawar Road. It is a busy place with a lot of dust from the traffic passing by all day. We have been sitting here watching the road get busier and busier over the years. Most of our work involves sorting through the marble and keeping the yard organized so people can see what we have. It is a lot of physical labor, moving pieces around and making sure they are stacked safely. The rain can make the ground a bit muddy, which makes moving the heavy stone a real pain, but we manage. We don't have a fancy office or air conditioning, just a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk to whoever walks in. People stop by on their way to other places, often just looking for a good price or a specific color of stone. We show them the different blocks and slabs we have and let them decide. There is always a lot of chatter between us and the drivers who stop for water or a quick break. It is just the way things go on Borawar Road. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the stone we have in front of us. It is not an easy job, but it is what we know how to do. The sun sets behind the piles of stone every evening and we lock up the gate until tomorrow.
