Balaji Marble

We are set up at E-27 in the Riico Industrial Area in Bidiyad. Our shop is called Balaji Marble. Working in an industrial area like Bidiyad is different than being in the city. It is all about the work here. There are no fancy parks or quiet streets, just factories and yards full of stone. We spend our days mostly moving slabs around with the crane or by hand if they are small enough. The ground is always covered in a thin layer of stone slurry or dust. It is just the nature of the job. We have a small office space, but we spend most of our time out in the yard. The weather really dictates our day. If it is too hot, we move a bit slower. If it is raining, we have to be careful not to slip on the wet stone. We don't bother with marketing or trying to sound like a big corporation. We are just a local business trying to make a living. Most of our customers are builders or people who are fixing up their own homes and want to see the material in person. We show them what we have in the current lot. Sometimes the colors vary from one batch to the next, so we tell people to pick exactly what they want from the stack. It is simple, straightforward work that keeps us busy.
