A.S. Rathore Marble

A.S. Rathore Marble is located right on the Bye Pass Road. It’s a convenient spot for the big trucks to pull in and out without getting stuck in the middle of town. We have a good amount of space here, which is lucky because marble takes up a lot of room. Most of our days are spent out in the yard. We get a lot of sun, and the wind blows the dust around quite a bit. It’s a typical marble yard, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. We have stacks of slabs lined up, some imported and some from around here. We don't have a big office or a place to sit down and have tea, usually we just talk to customers right there amongst the stone. People driving along the Bye Pass often see us and pull over to see what we have. We just tell them what’s what. No fancy brochures or polished presentations. If a piece has a natural vein or a weird mark, we show it to them. Stone is natural, after all, it’s not perfect. We try to keep a variety of colors so there is something for everyone. Some days we are really busy loading up trailers, and other days it’s just us doing inventory and cleaning up the broken pieces. It’s a steady life and we’ve been at it for a long time now in this location.
