Our spot is right opposite Mayur School, so we hear the bell ring every day and see the kids walking home in their uniforms. It’s a nice landmark to have because everyone knows where the school is. We have been supplying marble from this location for quite some time now. The yard is filled with various types of stone, and we spend a good chunk of our day moving them around to make space for new arrivals. It is physical work, and by the end of the day, our backs usually feel it. We don't have a polished corporate office; it's more of a practical space where we can sit down and talk to people who need stone for their projects. We get a lot of local folks stopping in who are just building a small addition or fixing a porch. We show them what we have in stock and tell them how much is available. The weather really dictates our day. If it’s raining, everything gets slippery and we have to slow down. If it’s hot, we take more breaks in the shade. It’s not a complicated business, just buying and selling stone and making sure it gets loaded onto the trucks without breaking. We know most of the drivers who come through here, and there’s usually a bit of gossip to catch up on while they wait for their load. It's just us doing what we can to keep the business going.
