Rana Vaishno Dhaba

We are located right on Dugri Main Road in the middle of the Main Market area. It's a busy part of Ludhiana, so there is always something going on outside our door. Being a Vaishno dhaba means we don't handle any meat here at all. We keep things strictly vegetarian because that is how we started and how we want to keep it. The market gets very crowded in the evenings, so it can get a bit cramped inside sometimes when everyone comes at once. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. Just some basic tables and chairs for people to sit down and eat their food. Most of our customers are locals who come by after work or people out shopping in the market for their homes. It’s a plain place, really. We spend most of our time in the back getting the vegetables ready and making sure the lentils are cooked right. Sometimes we run out of things if it’s a particularly busy day, but that’s just how it goes in a small business. The noise from the main road never really stops, so it's not exactly a quiet spot for a meal. We’ve been in this spot for some time now and most people in the neighborhood know us by name. It’s just a regular daily routine for us, opening up, cleaning the space, and getting the stove going. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't.
