BANSI VAISHNO DHABA

If you find yourself at Ishmeet Singh Chowk on Pakhowal Road, you will see our dhaba right there. It is a busy corner in Ludhiana and there is always a lot of movement around Jagjeet Nagar. We keep the place open for anyone who is hungry and looking for a simple meal. Most of our regulars are drivers or people living nearby who don't want to cook at home. The seating is very basic and we don't have any air conditioning so it gets a bit warm in the summers. We just leave the doors open to let the air in. The menu is written on a board and we usually have the same things every day. Dal and roti are the main things people ask for. The kitchen is right there so you can hear the clinking of the ladles and the sound of the stove. It gets really crowded in the evenings when people are coming back from work. We have a couple of boys who run around taking orders and cleaning tables as fast as they can. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud you have to shout a bit to be heard. It is just a plain Ludhiana dhaba where the food is prepared the way we know how. We have been at this spot for a while and the locals know what to expect when they walk in. It is just a busy, dusty, and loud place that serves food.
