Parhar Restaurant

You’ll find Parhar Restaurant inside the Parhar Hotel right on G T Road in Ludhiana. We sit at Giaspura Chowk, which is a very busy intersection. There’s a lot of trucks and cars passing through at all hours. We’ve been part of this hotel setup for a while now. It’s not a luxury place, just a practical spot for people staying over or just passing through the chowk. The dining room has some large windows, but they mostly look out onto the traffic and the dust of G T Road. We keep the fans running high because it gets stuffy. The menu is pretty basic. We serve what most people in this part of Punjab like to eat daily. We don't try to be something we’re not. The kitchen is tucked in the back, and you can usually hear the clinking of ladles and pans from the seating area. We source our supplies locally, usually getting the milk and vegetables delivered every morning. Some of the staff have been with us for years, so they know the regulars by name. It’s a bit noisy because of the location, but that’s just how it is. We spend our days making sure the food is ready and the tables are cleared for the next person. It's a routine that works for us and the people who stop here. We don’t use fancy linens or cloth napkins, just plain paper ones that get the job done for the travelers who are in a hurry.
