Pandit Vaishno Dhaba

Our dhaba, Pandit Vaishno Dhaba, is at B-115 on Karabara Road in Ludhiana, right by the New Sabzi Mandi. If you know Ludhiana, you know that the sabzi mandi area is incredibly busy, especially very early in the morning when the trucks come in. We open up to serve the farmers, laborers, and traders who are there to buy and sell vegetables. It is a rough and ready kind of place, built for people who are working hard. We don't have a fancy menu or soft chairs. It is all about getting a hot meal when you are tired. The atmosphere around the mandi is always loud and crowded, and our shop is part of that environment. We serve vegetarian food, sticking to the traditional dhaba style that people expect. The floor is usually being swept and the tea is always brewing in the corner. We don't use any corporate talk or try to sound like a big restaurant. We are just a local dhaba on Karabara Road. People come in, eat their rotis and dal, and head back out to the market. It is a basic lifestyle here, and we have been part of this community for quite a while. We just do our job and keep the kitchen running for the hundreds of people who pass through the mandi every single day. It is honest work and a simple place for everyone who needs a break from the market rush.
