Meshi Vegetarian Dhaba

If you are around Gill Chowk in Ludhiana, you probably know how busy it gets with all the trucks and people moving around. Our dhaba is right there at 2190 Gill Road. It is a simple place with plain tables and chairs. We start early in the morning getting the vegetables ready and lighting the stoves. It’s strictly vegetarian here, so we don't handle any meat. Most of our customers are folks working nearby or people just passing through the chowk who need a quick meal. The walls aren't painted anything special and the menu is just what we have for the day. We try to keep the place clean but it’s a busy road so there is always some dust from outside. You can hear the traffic all day long while you eat. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the food is hot and the plates are washed. It’s not a place for a fancy dinner, just a spot to sit down and eat some dal or rotis. We’ve been on this road for a long time. People know us for being regular. We don't change things much. The fans run all day in the heat and we just keep serving whoever walks in through the door. It’s just how things go here at Gill Road. We stay open until the food runs out or it gets late.
