Lucky Vegetarian Dhaba

This dhaba is located in Bharat Nagar, right across from the ESIC Hospital at Bharat Nagar Chowk. Because we are near the hospital, we see a lot of people who are either visiting patients or working there. It is a busy intersection in Ludhiana, so the sound of horns is something we are used to all day. We only serve vegetarian food here. The kitchen staff starts their work early, chopping vegetables and getting the big pots ready. We have some overhead fans that help when the Ludhiana heat gets bad in the summer months. The floor is made of simple tiles that we mop several times a day because of all the foot traffic. We don't have any fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people just see the name and come in because they are hungry and nearby. We keep the salt and pepper shakers on the tables and try to make sure the water coolers are always full. It is a straightforward place where you come to eat and then head back to whatever you were doing. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit while they are unloading, which can be a bit of a hassle. We just keep doing our work and serving whoever walks through the door. It is not a quiet place, but it serves its purpose for the people in this part of town.
