Lucky Vaishno Dhaba

Our place is right near the Clock Tower in Ludhiana, so you can always hear the traffic and the noise from the market outside. We have been here at this 141008 address for quite some time now. The dhaba isn't very big, but we manage to fit enough tables for the afternoon crowd. Usually, the mornings start with someone sweeping the front area and getting the stove going. It stays pretty warm in the kitchen once we start cooking. People who work in the nearby shops usually drop in around one o'clock. We don't have a big fancy menu, just the usual things you would find in a local dhaba. Sometimes the chairs wobble a bit, but nobody seems to mind much. We spend a lot of our day just refilling water jugs and making sure the plates are clean. The Clock Tower area is always busy, so there is never a quiet moment until we shut the shutters at night. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming here for years. They just sit down and wait for their food without saying much. It is just a regular spot for a meal when you are in this part of Ludhiana. We don't do anything special for holidays, just keep the doors open like any other day. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet.
