Khalsa Sweets And Vaishno Dhaba

Our shop is at Plot No 284/1 near Cheema Chowk on R K Road. This part of Ludhiana is mostly industrial, so we are surrounded by factories and the electricity board. It’s a tough, hardworking area and we try to match that with the food we serve. We do both sweets and regular meals because sometimes you want a full dinner and other times you just want a piece of barfi with your tea. The air in Industrial Area A is always full of the sound of machines, but inside our dhaba, it’s all about the smell of frying jalebis and simmering curry. We get the workers coming in for their lunch breaks and they are usually in a hurry. We make sure they get fed well so they can get back to their shifts. My brother handles the sweet counter while I look after the kitchen in the back. It’s a family effort and we’ve been at this spot for quite a while. We don't have any polished marble floors or fancy lighting. It’s a practical place for people who work hard and need a break. We use good milk for our sweets and we don't skimp on the portions. If you are near the electricity board, you can't miss us. We’re just here doing our thing every day in 141003.
