Batra Classic Caterers

Working out of Gali Mullah Shakur on Kesar Ganj Road means dealing with narrow lanes and a lot of neighbors. Batra Classic Caterers has been in this spot for a long time now. It’s a tight space, but we make it work somehow. We spend our days tucked away in the alley, prepping for weddings and community meals. The Kesar Ganj area is always crowded, so moving our equipment in and out of the gali is a daily struggle, but we've got the timing down by now. We don't have a slick website or a marketing team. It’s mostly just us, our pots, and our recipes that haven't changed much since we started. Sometimes the salt is a little different or the produce isn't as fresh as we'd like from the market, so we have to adjust on the fly. It’s real cooking. We handle the big tandoors and the heavy degs. It’s not always pretty, and our aprons are usually stained by noon, but the food is solid. People in the neighborhood know us by name. We’ve served at so many local functions that we recognize most of the faces at the parties. It’s a lot of standing on your feet for ten hours straight. We just try to keep the heat going and the plates full without making too much of a fuss about it. It’s just how we live and work.
