Basant Vegetarian

Basant Vegetarian is tucked away at SCO-141 in Feroze Gandhi Market. We are right behind the Stock Exchange building. This part of Ludhiana is very busy with offices and people working all day long. We opened this place specifically for people who wanted a simple vegetarian meal during their lunch break or after their shift. It’s not a very big space, so it fills up quickly around one or two o'clock. We keep the decor very simple with just basic tables and chairs. There are no fancy paintings or expensive lights here. We focus mostly on getting the food to the table quickly because we know our customers have to get back to their jobs. Our kitchen staff works hard in a small space to keep everything moving smoothly. We use fresh vegetables that we get from the market nearby every day. Sometimes we run out of the daily special if the lunch rush is bigger than we expected. We don't have a big corporate team; it's just a few of us running the floor and the kitchen. We’ve been in this market for a while now and we know the rhythms of the street. It’s a practical, no-nonsense place to eat if you are around the Stock Exchange and want something simple and vegetarian. We just do our work and go home.
