Ashu Cooking Catering

Our kitchen is right here in Lajpat Nagar, not far from the Ludhiana Bus Stand. It’s always a bit noisy around here with the buses coming and going, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend most of our mornings starting early, around four or five, getting the fires going and prepping vegetables. It’s a lot of peeling, chopping, and stirring big pots that take two people to move. Ashu Cooking Catering isn't some big corporate thing; it’s just us making food that tastes like what you’d get at home, maybe a bit richer for parties. We do a lot of local events and small gatherings around the bus stand area. Sometimes the kitchen gets incredibly hot, and we’re all sweating, trying to get the orders out. We don't use fancy machines for everything. A lot of it is still done by hand because that’s how we learned. We buy our spices and produce from the local markets nearby. There are days when things get chaotic, maybe a delivery is late or a burner acts up, but we always find a way to make it work. It's just honest cooking. We don't put on any airs. If you walk by number 103, you can usually smell whatever we’re frying up for the day. It’s a messy, busy life, but it keeps us going and pays the bills for the families involved.
