Thirumala Granites

Our operations are based out of Sipcot Industrial Park in Bargur. Being in an industrial park means things are on a bigger scale than a little street shop. We have more room for the big trucks to turn around, which is a relief. The ground is mostly gravel and dirt, and it gets really dry during the summer months. We spend the day moving massive blocks and slabs around with the heavy machinery. It is not a quiet job. There is always the sound of engines and metal. We have a small shed that serves as our office where we keep the logs and the phone. It is nothing fancy, just a place to sit for a minute and have some water. Bargur can get very hot, so we usually try to get the heaviest work done early in the morning before the sun is directly overhead. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most of our work comes from people who know we are here in the Sipcot area. It is a lot of physical labor and being on your feet all day long. We wear heavy boots and keep our hats on to block the sun. It is a straightforward life, just focusing on the stone and making sure everything is loaded correctly for the long drives ahead. We just keep at it day after day.
