Sri Balaji Granites

If you find yourself on B T Market Road in Bargur, you’ll probably see our sign at number 54. We are right in the middle of the market energy, which means there is always something going on outside. It’s a lot of work keeping a granite business running in such a busy spot. We get trucks coming in from the quarries and they have to navigate the narrow parts of the road to get to us. Loading and unloading is a big part of our day. We don't have a lot of help, so it's usually just us doing the heavy lifting. The granite we have comes in all sorts of greys and blacks, and every slab is a little different. We try to keep the yard organized, but it’s a constant battle against the clutter of a working shop. When a customer comes in from the market, they usually have a million questions about durability. We answer them as best we can, based on what we’ve seen over the years. We aren't experts in interior design, but we know which stones are tough. Our office is just a small corner where we keep the ledgers and the phone. It’s not fancy, but it works for us. We like being part of the Bargur community and seeing our stone end up in houses nearby.
