Ramdev Granites

Ramdev Granites is located at 46 Main Road in Bargur. It is a fairly simple place where we keep our stock of stone. The Main Road is usually busy with people going about their business, and we are right in the middle of it. We have different types of granite slabs lined up along the side of the building. Some of them have been there for a bit, and they’ve collected a little dust from the passing cars. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles here; it’s just a yard with a lot of heavy material. When someone comes in, we usually just walk them around the piles to see what catches their eye. The sun in Bargur can be quite strong, so the stone gets very warm during the middle of the day. We have a small office area, but most of the time is spent outside on the lot. The work is mostly manual, involving moving the slabs with the crane and making sure they are secured for transport. It’s a lot of the same thing every day, but we like the rhythm of it. We have been at 46 Main Road for a while, and the locals know us as the place with the big rocks out front. There is no mystery to what we do; we just handle the granite and try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible given the weight of it all.
