Sreevari Granites

Sreevari Granites is situated at No-832/3 and 833/2 in Halenatham Village. This is part of the Mallachandiram Panchayat in Benkani Kota. It is quite a way out from the main city, and the landscape is mostly fields and rocky patches. Working in the village means things move a bit slower, but the granite work itself is always fast-paced. We have a lot of space out here to keep the big blocks and the finished slabs. The dust is just part of the life here, and you get used to the smell of wet stone and the roar of the machinery. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages and we've all been doing this for a long time. It’s a rural setting, so you might see some cattle walking past the gate while we are loading a massive truck with stone. The roads around Benkani Kota can be a bit narrow for the big lorries, so there is always a bit of shouting and gesturing to get them parked right. We don't have much in the way of an office, just a small room with a desk and some chairs where we handle the bills. It is a simple life and a hard one too, but there is something good about working with your hands and seeing the finished stone go out. We just do our work and go home to our families when it is done.
