Rana Granites

Rana Granites is out in Jagadevi, specifically in Jagadevipallam Village at No. 89/3a1 and 90/7b. Being out in the village is a lot different than being in the city. There is more space, but the work is just as hard. We have a large yard where we keep the granite blocks and slabs. It’s quiet out here until we start moving the stone around with the equipment. The ground is usually dusty, and we spend a lot of time out in the open air. We don't get as many walk-in customers as a city shop, but the people who do come out here are usually looking for something specific. We spend our days checking the stone for cracks and making sure the stacks are stable. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the week, everyone is feeling it in their backs. The weather is a big factor for us since so much of our work happens outside. When the monsoon hits, the yard gets muddy and everything slows down. But when it’s dry, we are out there from sunrise to sunset. It’s a basic operation, run by people who know the stone. We don't have much use for fancy talk or big offices. We just focus on the granite we have here in Jagadevi.
