H R Granite

H R Granite is based in a village called Odhar Palli, which is part of the Hosur Talluka in the Krishnagiri district. It is a bit of a drive out here, but we like the space we have. You can see the big water tank from a distance, and that is usually how people know they are getting close to our place. We work primarily with granite, so there are always large slabs leaning against the walls and heavy machinery for moving them around. The ground is often wet from the water we use to cool the saws while cutting through the stone. It’s a rural setting, so we don't have many neighbors, just the quiet of the village until we start the engines. We spend our days checking the stone coming in and making sure the cuts are clean. It is a tough job and our hands are usually rough from handling the granite all day. The sun gets quite hot in Krishnagiri, so we try to get the heaviest work done early in the day. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that. It's just a shed and a yard where the work happens. People come from all over the talluka when they want something solid for their homes. We just keep our heads down and do the work, making sure we have enough stock for whoever shows up at the gate next.
