Geetha Granites

Down at 241/347, Salem Road in New Pet, that’s where you’ll find Geetha Granites. We spend most of our time out in the yard moving these big slabs of stone. It’s heavy work and it definitely keeps you in shape. Salem Road is usually busy with trucks, so there’s always noise and movement around us. We deal with granite day in and day out. It’s a tough material to work with, but it looks good once it’s polished up and put in someone’s home. Our yard isn’t very fancy. There’s stone piled up everywhere and a lot of dust when the wind blows. We just try to keep things moving. Customers come by New Pet to look at the different colors we have. Some want something dark and others like the lighter patterns. We don’t have any slick salespeople here. We just show people what’s available and tell them how much it costs. Sometimes we’re short-staffed and things take a little longer, but we always get the job done. The sun gets pretty hot out on the road, so we take our breaks when we can. It’s a simple life. We’ve been at this location for a while now and we know the neighborhood well. Handling stone is just what we do, and we don't try to make it sound like anything more than that. We just focus on the slabs and getting them loaded right.
