Anandh Granites

Our place is out in the village area, near Teneswara Madam. If you’re coming through Kaveripattinam, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s quiet out here compared to the city. We’ve been working with granite for quite some time now at this spot. The yard is where we keep everything. It’s mostly outdoor work. We deal with the blocks and the slabs that come in. Some days are just about organizing the piles so we can actually find what someone is looking for. It’s a bit of a trek for some folks to come out here, but we’re usually around. We don’t have much in the way of a front desk or anything like that. Usually, you’ll find one of us near the back where the cutting happens. The noise from the machines can be a bit much, so we take breaks when it gets too loud. We see a lot of local builders and people from the nearby villages. They know where we are. We just focus on getting the stone moved and making sure it doesn't chip. The weather affects how much we can do in a day. If it’s raining hard, things slow down a lot. We just take it as it comes. It's a simple setup. We’ve got the space and the stone, and that’s about it. The village life suits us fine. We don't feel the need to move into the city. There’s enough work right here to keep us busy.
