We are located on Convent Road, right in the heart of Calicut. This school has been around for a very long time, and you can see it in the old walls and the way the buildings are laid out. It’s a big place compared to some of the newer ones. Being near the Calicut Head Office means there is always a lot of movement outside our gates. The rain here in Kozhikode can be quite heavy, so we spend a lot of time making sure the roofs are holding up and the drains are clear. Inside, the classrooms have high ceilings and old wooden furniture that has been used by generations of students. We don’t have much in the way of modern gadgets, but we have plenty of books and teachers who have been here for decades. The atmosphere is quite serious when classes are on. You can hear the teachers’ voices echoing down the long corridors. During the breaks, the courtyard fills up with students in their uniforms, and it gets incredibly loud for twenty minutes before everyone goes back in. It’s a traditional way of doing things. We don't change much because the old ways seem to work well enough for us. People in the city know us by name, and many of the parents went here themselves back in the day. It’s just a solid, old school that keeps on going year after year without needing to brag about it.
