Presentation Higher Secondary School

Our school is located right on Medical College Road in Chevayur, which is a fairly busy area of Kozhikode. Presentation Higher Secondary School has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. You can’t miss the gates when you’re driving toward the hospital area. Every morning there is a bit of a rush with students coming in from all over the city. The campus has plenty of trees, which helps keep things a bit cooler during the humid months here in Kerala. We have the higher secondary classes along with the younger ones, so there is a big mix of ages running around. The hallways are usually filled with the sound of teachers talking and students changing classes. We don't have a massive PR department or anything like that. It’s mostly just the staff and the sisters keeping the place going. Some of the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the classrooms are big and airy enough for the students. We spend a lot of time on the basics, making sure everyone is keeping up with their lessons. It's a straightforward environment where the focus is on the daily schedule. Being near the medical college means there is always traffic outside, but inside the gates, it feels a bit more settled. We just do our bit to help the local kids get through their schooling years without too much fuss or extra drama.
