Kuruvangad Central Up School

Kuruvangad Central Up School is located on Edavanna Road in the Kuruvangadu area. It’s right by the side of the road, so it’s easy for everyone to find us. The school is an Upper Primary school, so we have children of various ages running around throughout the day. The building is a long, low structure with several rooms lined up one after another. We have a lot of trees around the property, which helps keep the place a bit cooler during the afternoon heat. Being on Edavanna Road, we see a lot of traffic passing by, but the kids are used to the noise. The classrooms are filled with the usual school stuff like maps, charts, and piles of notebooks. We don't have a big library, but we have a collection of books that the kids can read. The teachers are quite busy with the different grades, and you can always hear someone explaining a lesson or the kids reciting something together. It’s a very traditional environment where we focus on the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic. During the monsoon season, the sound of the rain on the roof is so loud that we sometimes have to stop talking for a bit. It’s just a simple, local school that serves the families living in and around Kuruvangadu. We don't have any grand plans, just the goal of helping the kids finish their primary years.
