School Id Solutions

Badakke Thalakkal House isn't hard to find if you know the Thalakkulathur area of Calicut. It’s where School Id Solutions operates from. Most mornings, I start by clearing off the main table because stuff always seems to pile up overnight. The printers we use for the ID cards are a bit finicky, especially when the humidity gets high here in Kerala. You can hear the neighbors' goats sometimes if the windows are open. We spend a lot of time checking names and photos on the computer screen. It can be a bit tedious, but it’s the job. My cousin usually comes by around noon to help with the laminating machine. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It’s just a house where we’ve set up some equipment to get things done for the local schools. The road outside gets pretty muddy during the monsoon, so we have to remind everyone to leave their shoes at the door. I like being based in P/O. Thalakkulathur because it’s quiet enough to focus, even if the internet goes slow sometimes. Calicut is a busy city, but out here, things feel a bit more relaxed. We don't have a fancy sign or a glass front. If you walk past Badakke Thalakkal House, you might just think it’s a regular home, which it mostly is, except for the stacks of blank cards and the smell of warm plastic.
