Mr Cook

We are over here in Calicut, just doing our thing as Mr Cook. It started a while back, not with some big plan, but just because someone had to do the cooking. Most days it’s pretty loud in the kitchen. We have the stove going early and the smell of spices usually hits you before you even walk through the door. People in Calicut know how the heat gets, so we just try to keep things moving. There isn’t much to say about the building itself. It is just a spot where we work. We spend a lot of time cleaning up and getting ready for the next day. Sometimes we run out of things, and someone has to run to the market. That’s just how it goes here. The name Mr Cook stuck, so we kept it. We aren't trying to be fancy or anything like that. We just show up, put on our aprons, and get to it. You might see us sitting outside for a minute when it gets quiet, but that doesn’t happen too often. The floors get a bit messy during the rush, but we get them scrubbed down eventually. It’s a lot of work, honestly. The rain comes down hard in Calicut sometimes, and we just watch it from the doorway while the pots are bubbling. It is a simple life, mostly just about the food and the people who come by.
