Yatra

Our place, Yatra, is located at 5, Ratan Sarkar Garden Street, which is quite close to the Kalakar Street Post Office here in Kolkata. It’s a busy area, always filled with people moving about and goods being transported. We’ve been operating from this small office for quite some time now. Travel is what we know. Hours are spent checking on bus schedules, train berths, and flight timings. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but getting the details right is important so nobody ends up stuck somewhere they don't want to be. There isn't a big corporate team; it’s just us here handling the calls and the walk-ins. People usually come in with a rough idea of where they want to go, and we try to fill in the blanks for them. Some old posters hang on the walls and stacks of files sit on the desks. It’s a bit cluttered, but everything has its place. Fancy talk or trying to sell people things they don’t need isn't our style. We just look at what’s available and tell them the price. If a train is waitlisted, we share the truth about the chances. It’s a very human way of doing business. We are just a local office helping our neighbors get from one place to another without too much trouble. We just do our best with the bookings every day.
