Khabo Tobe Jabo

Khabo Tobe Jabo is tucked away in Room No. M 3 at No. 301/E Bipin Bihari Ganguly Street. It’s right in the Lal Bazar area, and being near Himlaya Optics makes it a little easier for people to find us in the crowd. The street outside is always full of people, vendors, and traffic, so it can be quite a scramble just to get to the door. Inside, our space is pretty small. We have to be careful how we move around so we don't bump into each other. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find leather chairs or expensive art. It’s just a practical room where we get things done. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working at the small table we have squeezed into the corner. Sometimes the smell of food from the nearby stalls drifts in through the window and makes us all hungry before it’s even noon. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and we’ve learned how to deal with the quirks of the old building, like the light switch that needs a little wiggle to work. We aren't a big operation, just a few people at Khabo Tobe Jabo trying to keep things moving forward. We don't have a lot of rules, we just show up and do what’s on the list for that day. It’s a busy, cramped, and honest way to work.
