Travelers Pride

Our office is tucked away at 15 Bompas Road, right in the Lake Market area. If you go behind Lake Mall, you will find us easily enough. It’s a busy part of town so there is always something going on outside the window. We spend our days looking at maps and booking tickets for people who want to get away for a bit. The desks are covered in printouts and old itineraries. People come in with a lot of questions about trains and flights. Some want to go to the mountains and others just need a bus ticket to the next state over. It gets hectic when the holiday season starts. The phones ring quite a bit and the internet sometimes acts up right when we are trying to confirm a booking. We don't have a big fancy lobby. It's just a couple of chairs and some travel posters on the walls that have been there for years. I like hearing the stories from people when they come back from their trips. They tell us about the food or the hotels. It makes the paperwork feel a bit less boring. Being behind the mall means we get a lot of foot traffic. Sometimes people just wander in because they saw the name and wanted to ask about prices. We just give them the facts and see what fits their budget. It’s a small operation but we stay quite busy on Bompas Road.
