Travel Met

We are located at 499 Jessore Road. It's a pretty well-known stretch of road here in Kolkata. Travel Met is what we call the business. Being near Nagerbazar means there is always traffic. You can hear the horns all day long from our window. It’s a small space, really. We’ve got some old furniture and a few computers. People drop in to ask about trips or bus times. We try to help them out. It isn't a high-end agency with glass walls. It's more of a local shop where you can sit down and talk. Sometimes we share a tea while looking at routes on the screen. Jessore Road is always dusty, so we are constantly cleaning the desk. We’ve been here for some time now. Locals know the address. It’s practical. We don’t do big advertisements. Most people just see the sign while they're walking to the shops. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people are inside. But we make it work. Just a regular day-to-day operation. Nothing too special. We just like being part of the neighborhood. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so we usually have the curtains drawn. It keeps it a bit cooler while we work on bookings. It’s a basic life, but it keeps us busy. We are just around the corner from the main market area.
