Travel Dias is basically just my way of sharing what I see when I'm out and about. I’m Abhijit Gupta, and I run this blog from my place on MB Road in Nimta. It’s right near Nimta Bazar, which is a place I’ve known my whole life. This isn't a big media company with editors and professional photographers. It's just me writing about the places I visit and the things I experience. I started it because friends were always asking for advice on where to go and what to eat. I figured I might as well put it all in one place for everyone to see. Living in Kolkata, you get used to the chaos and the beauty, and I try to bring that feeling into my writing. It’s not perfect by any means. Sometimes I make typos or forget to upload a photo for a few days, but it’s real. I don’t use those fancy travel agent words or marketing speak. I just say if a place was worth the bus ride or if the food was actually good. Nimta is a bit away from the city center, but it’s home. The market nearby is always full of life, and that energy helps when I’m sitting down to type at my desk. I write when I have time, usually after the day’s other chores are finished. It’s a hobby that grew into something more, but I still want it to feel like a conversation.
