Techno International

Down at 8/1, Bijoy Bosu Road, Bhabanipur, things move along at a very steady pace. Techno International is located in an older building that has a lot of character, even if the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint one of these days. We are surrounded by residential houses and small local shops, so it feels more like being part of a neighborhood than a cold business district. Inside the office, you will find stacks of ledgers and old filing cabinets that are usually bursting at the seams with paperwork. We have a few computers, of course, but a lot of the work we do still feels very hands-on and traditional. The windows look out directly onto the street, and we often hear the sounds of local vendors and the occasional car horn passing by. We have a small team here, and everyone knows exactly what their job is without needing to be told twice. There is a specific rhythm to the day, starting with opening the heavy wooden door and ending with locking up the gate in the evening. We deal with various international bits and pieces, which means there is always a lot of correspondence to handle. It is not a high-tech paradise, but it is comfortable and familiar for those of us who work here every day. We usually share some snacks in the late afternoon while we finish up the daily logs and get ready to head home.
