We’ve been at this spot in Word No. 30 for a while now. Most people around Putkhali just call us Biems, which is shorter than saying Batanagar Institute Of Engg. Management Science every time you talk. The building sits right there where the local traffic picks up in the mornings. It’s a busy corner of the neighborhood, especially when everyone is headed to work or classes. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much, but that’s just how it is around here. We usually start the day pretty early. You can see the gate from the main road. The sign is easy to spot if you’re looking for it. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular spot where stuff gets done. We spend most of our time inside the offices or labs, trying to keep things organized. The weather in Putkhali can be unpredictable, so we’re always checking the roof or the windows. We’ve seen the area change over the years. New shops open up nearby, then close down. But we’ve stayed put. It’s a decent walk from the nearest bus stop. If you’re coming by, just ask for Word No. 30. Most of the rickshaw drivers know where it is. It's just a practical place for us to work. We don't have a big lobby or anything like that. It's mostly just desks and people working on whatever needs doing that day. It is our home.
