Finding us at No. 9/12 Lal Bazar Street can be a bit of a puzzle the first time you visit. You have to get to the E-Block and then head up to the second floor. Sunshine Institute Of Advance Education has been operating out of this space for quite some time now. The stairs are a bit steep and the building has that old city smell to it. It is not fancy with modern elevators or shiny lobbies. We just have our classrooms and the office area where we keep all the files and books. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so the fans are always going full speed. We spend most of our time talking to students and sorting out daily schedules. There is a lot of paper everywhere and the printer jams more than it should. Being right here in the middle of the city means there is always something happening outside. You can hear the vendors and the cars all day long. We try to keep things organized but sometimes it gets a bit messy when everyone is in at the same time. We have a small corner for making tea which is basically the heart of the office. It is a practical setup for what we do. Nothing more and nothing less. We just show up, do the teaching, and head home when the sun goes down. It is a simple life here.
