Our place, Techcollege, sits right on Rakhal Mukherjee Road in Bhowanipore. Being at 2-C means we are right in the middle of everything in Kolkata. The building is one of those older structures you see a lot in this part of town. Inside, we have set up rooms for the students to sit and learn. It is often quite noisy because of the street traffic and the trams nearby, but we have gotten used to it. The walls are lined with desks and some old computers we use for practice. We spend our mornings getting the rooms ready before the first group arrives. Bhowanipore is a busy area, so there is always someone coming in to ask about classes. We do not use any fancy software to manage things, just a couple of ledgers and some basic notes. The fans hum all day to keep the humidity away. It is a very normal, local setup where the goal is just to teach what we know. We have been here at this 700025 zip code for quite some time now. Students often hang out near the entrance after their sessions are over. It feels more like a community spot than a stiff academic institution.
