Tea Cum Hardware

You can find Tea Cum Hardware at 33/1, Netaji Subhas Road, specifically inside Marshall House in Room Number 512. It is an old building and the hallways always have that specific smell of dust and old paper. Being on the fifth floor means we rely on the lift a lot, though it can be temperamental some days. It is a bit of a strange mix, having tea and hardware in the same name, but it makes sense once you see how we operate. We have boxes of metal fittings sitting right next to crates of tea leaves. It is a functional space, crowded with inventory and heavy ledgers. The fans hum overhead all day while we talk to customers and handle orders. Netaji Subhas Road is always loud with honking and people shouting, but inside Marshall House, it stays a bit more contained. We spend most of our time answering the phone or checking the stock levels in the back room. The windows do not let in much light because of the neighboring buildings, so we keep the overhead lights on even at noon. There is always someone coming in to ask about a specific bolt or a particular blend. We do not have any fancy displays or marketing posters on the walls. It is just a room where business happens. We have been in this spot for years and know all the other shopkeepers in the building.
