Ambootia Tea Estate

Our city office is over on Metcalfe Street, inside the Sampad Vikas Limited building at 34-A. Even though the tea itself comes from the estates, this is where a lot of the coordination happens. It’s a bit of an old-school atmosphere on Metcalfe Street. You can hear the city sounds coming through the windows all day. We deal with the tea business, which means lots of tasting notes, sample bags, and shipping schedules. It’s a lot of paper and a lot of conversations about weather patterns and harvest times. We aren't trying to be fancy about it. We just know our tea and we know how to get it to the people who want it. The office is usually humming with people coming in and out. We keep things pretty simple. There’s a kettle always on for when we need to check a new batch. Some days the piles of samples get a bit out of hand, and we have to spend the whole afternoon clearing them off the desks. It’s a steady kind of work. We’ve been doing this for a long time under the Ambootia name, and we don't feel the need to change our ways much. We just focus on the quality of what’s in the bag and making sure the orders are filled correctly. It’s just us, the tea, and the daily grind of city life while thinking about the gardens.
