You can find us at 8/3 Roopchand Roy Street. This part of the city is always crowded with people carrying heavy loads and the streets are quite narrow. Our building is quite old and the entrance can be easy to miss if you are not looking closely. The air inside smells strongly of tea leaves because we have bags of various grades stacked up in the back. It is a bit of a dusty environment and we all end up sneezing a lot during the day. We have a few long tables where we sort through the products and a couple of desks for the bookkeeping. The paperwork is always a bit of a mess because we deal with so many different estates and suppliers. We don't have air conditioning, so we just keep the fans running at full speed all summer long. Sometimes the tea arrives late because of some trouble on the roads, and then we have to stay late to get everything unloaded. It is a busy life but we enjoy the routine of it. We usually have a cup of whatever we are sorting through in the afternoon to make sure it tastes right. There is nothing fancy about how we work. We just show up, do the sorting, and make sure the bags are ready for the next day's transport.
