Apeejay House is a big building on 15 Park Street, and that’s where A. J. Tea House Pvt. Ltd. is located. Park Street is always full of life, especially in the evenings, but we’re usually wrapped up in our work long before the nightlife starts. Our office is a practical space. We’ve got desks, computers, and lots of tea samples everywhere. It’s not meant to be a showroom; it’s where we handle the business side of things. We talk to suppliers and buyers all day. Sometimes the phones don’t stop ringing, and other times it’s just the sound of typing. We’ve been at this address for quite a while, so we’re part of the furniture here at Apeejay House. The people who work here have been with us for years. We don't go in for fancy titles or corporate meetings that go on for hours. We just meet in the hallway or over a cup of tea to decide what needs doing. It’s a very direct way of working. Park Street has changed a lot since we first moved in, with new shops and cafes opening up all the time, but our office stays pretty much the same. We like the consistency. It helps us keep our heads on straight when things get busy during the harvest season. We just focus on the tea and the people we deal with.
