Allied Domeco. is located over at 46-B, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road. We are up on the 4th floor of the building. Getting up here every morning is just part of the daily routine. The building is one of those older Kolkata structures that has a lot of character, though the stairs can feel a bit long if you're carrying a heavy bag. Being on the 4th floor gives us a little bit of distance from the noise of the street down below, but you can still hear the car horns honking throughout the day. The office space is packed with desks and old filing cabinets. It’s not a showroom or anything like that, just a place where the actual work happens. We have windows that look out over the nearby rooftops. Sometimes it gets quite dusty, especially during the hot summer months. There are other businesses in the building too, so there’s always people coming and going in the hallways. We don’t have a big reception area or fancy lights in the ceiling. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks and getting through the paperwork or whatever else needs doing that day. We’ve been at this Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road address for some time now. Most people who come to see us know the way by now, even if the main entrance is a bit tucked away. It’s a functional space. We don’t try to make it look like something it’s not. It is just our workplace.
