Aqua Java

Aqua Java is a small cafe located at 2/R/1B, Cantopher Lane in Kolkata. It is tucked away in a narrow part of the city. We have been here for a good number of years. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for some tables and people to sit. We started it because we wanted a spot where people could get a decent cup of coffee without any fuss. The walls are a bit plain, and we have some old chairs that have seen better days. It gets quite loud in the late afternoons when the students come by after their classes. They usually stay for a long time, talking and working on their laptops. We have a simple menu with coffee, tea, and some snacks like sandwiches or biscuits. The coffee grinder is always making noise in the background. Cantopher Lane is a bit hard to find if you aren't from around here, and the parking is basically impossible. Most of our regulars just walk or come by rickshaw. We don't have a fancy website or do big promotions. We just keep the doors open and make sure there is fresh milk and beans. It feels like a neighborhood spot more than a business. We know most of the people who come in. It’s just a plain, honest coffee shop where you can sit for a while and nobody bothers you.
