Our office is at 1 Crooked Lane. It’s a bit of a funny name for a street, but it’s where we’ve set up shop to handle our tea plantation business. We spend a lot of time coordinating between the office here and the actual fields where the tea grows. There is always a lot of logistics to figure out, like when to pick the leaves and how to get them moved before they sit too long. The office is simple, just some desks and a lot of folders. We aren't big on decorations or anything like that. We just need a place to work. Crooked Lane is right in the heart of things, so we’re never far from what’s happening in the trade. Some days the tea market is slow, and other days everyone is rushing around. We just try to keep a steady head. It’s hard work and the weather doesn't always cooperate with the harvest schedules. We've had seasons where the rain just wouldn't stop, and we had to change all our plans. We don't talk in big corporate terms; we just talk about the plants and the workers and the shipping dates. That’s what matters at the end of the day. If you’re ever walking down the lane, you’ll see our door. It’s a practical place for practical people. We’ve been here a long time and know the neighborhood well.
