We are located at 142/1A on Sarat Bose Road, right in the Lansdown area. It’s an old part of the city, and our shop has that same feel to it. We’ve got a small counter where we stand for most of the day, and the shelves behind us are filled with all sorts of things we’ve gathered over time. It’s not the biggest space, so we have to be smart about where we put everything so we can find it later. People from the neighborhood come in for their regular bits and pieces, and we usually end up chatting about the weather or the traffic on Sarat Bose Road. The building is older, so sometimes the walls need a bit of a touch-up, and the floor has seen better days, but it works for us. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights to get people's attention. Usually, people just know we are here from word of mouth. Lunchtime is usually quiet, and we take turns heading out to grab something to eat from the nearby stalls. In the evenings, the street gets really busy with cars and people going home, and that’s when we usually have the most people popping in to pick something up. We keep a simple ledger for the books and just try to stay on top of what needs to be ordered for the next week. It’s a steady pace, and we like being part of the local scene here in this neighborhood.
